🌱 Map of Eithos 🌱

Welcome to Eithos, a land well known for their guilds, legends, and triving merchant community. Are you here to stay? or just traveling trough?
Either way, take a look around!

🌱 SETTLEMENTS 🌱

The most well renowned places in Eithos.

Wisteria Village is surrounded by abundant nature, and in the center of the town’s plaza stands the legendary Wisteria tree. The tree reaches higher than most buildings surrounding it, and the sunlight shining through its petals bathes the plaza in a soft purple glow.

Besides its rich history and foliage, Wisteria is well known for is its guilds and thriving merchant community.
Surprisingly, the biggest building on the plaza is the Merchant’s Guild, looking out over the marketplace.

Wisteria is a welcoming and diverse community, and people from all over Eithos pass through the village on their travels or come to move in and settle.

:bulletgreen: The plaza exists out of the Merchant Guild and the marketplace where you can set up your own shop. If you are interested in having your own shop visit the shop's journal.
:bulletgreen: The three guilds are located on the edge of the village.

This small village is located high off of the ground, built into the mountainside of an ancient sleeping volcano. Magnolia is well known for their spice trade and dried fruit delicacies.

Because of the high altitude and heat all year-round, the air becomes very warm and dry.
Curiously enough, at the edge of the village, a waterfall cuts right through the streets,
providing the dry, warm city with water. The cave from which the waterfall streams seems to be endless, the deeper you go the more it becomes a forest of stalagmites.

:bulletgreen: It's not advised to explore the stalagmite cave on your own as it's easy to get lost.

A fisherman's village located in small clusters of buildings over the water near the Tri-Pillars. Only a few houses can be found on the beach area.
Rugosa is famous for their fish and fresh ocean produce.

:bulletgreen: It's hard to reach the houses from shore if you don't own a boat, Luckily there villagers that will ferry you.
:bulletgreen: The water inside the cove is calm most of the time with the exception of storms.

A village located on a snowy mountain, covered in a thick layer of snow much of the year. Amaryllis is known for their natural hot springs and visitors from every corner of Eithos travel to relax in the famous onsen.
The village has rivers running through it, most of which spill into Azalea Lake.

The Azalea settlement is spread throughout a dense forest, almost becoming jungle-like at its deepest reaches. Since the community is more separated into small clusters of homes or single huts, these villagers tend to enjoy a more private life. It’s not unheard of to have lived there for years and not know the names of your neighbors.

:bulletgreen: Houses can be found anywhere in Azalea Forest if you seek hard enough, they can be built into a hill, up in the tree's, anywhere.
:bulletgreen: The estimated travel time from Wisteria Village to the Azalea Forest Settlement is 1 day, but it's easy to get lost in this dense forest. It has taken some up to 4 days to reach the settlement!

The Arena is a battle royale style of training ground recommended for silver rank guild members and up.
Those who wish to train and spar in order to hone their skills venture to this small island in the middle of Azalea Lake.

Notes about The Arena
:bulletgreen: It is a Neutral ground.
:bulletgreen: Free-for-all training island. (Enter at your own risk.)
:bulletgreen: Rough waters surround the island.

:bulletgreen: Once a month a ‘Rookie Royale’ is held on the island for Bronze members only.
For this event, one or more guild leaders must be on site to step in when needed.

:bulletgreen: Wisteria > Azalea Lake: 1 day

🌱 LOCATIONS 🌱

:bulletwhite: Acacia Lake:
A rather large lake on the East side of Wisteria. The small waterfall coming from the side of Magnolia Mountain flows into this lake.
People often camp alongside Acacia Lake as it’s a rather peaceful environment.
- Legend tells that the lake is home to legendary spirit; Raikou.

:bulletwhite: Gardenia Island:
An island near the coast of Azalea Forest. This mysterious Island is difficult to reach. It seems as though all of the elements do what they can to keep people from stepping foot on its beaches. The island is mainly gorgeous green wilderness and old stone ruins with intricate designs, indicating that this now empty island was once full of life.
- Gardenia Island is off limits.

:bulletwhite: Hawthorn Bay:
This rather large cove that connects Wisteria, Magnolia, and Rugosa Beach was to become the new harbor, but as its waters proved to be too wild, Hawthorn Bay was deemed unsafe. Thus, the harbor was moved to Rugosa. It's rumored that a group of bandits has made this place their home, as only the toughest and roughest will be able to live here.

:bulletblack: Haunted Village:
A mere shell of what was once the lively and thriving Higanbana village. After Adenium's Blight wreaked its havoc on this small population in Azalea forest, it never managed to recover. Barely a soul in Higanbana survived the disaster, and slowly it became a ghost town. Legend says that the spirits of the past still continue to live there, giving it the reputation as perhaps the most haunted place in all of Eithos.

:bulletblack: New Harbor:
After Hawthorn Bay was proven to be too dangerous, the New Harbor was built on Rugosa Beach. Small docking areas can be found along the outside of the settlement as well as a larger harbor in the Cove, which can be reached by traveling through Tri-Pillar pass.

:bulletblack: Old Harbor:
This harbor was in use even before the events of Adenium’s Blight. However, nowadays, the Old Harbor is considered inconvenient due to its location and the ice filling the water almost year round. The Old Harbor is still in use, but mostly by locals of Amaryllis.

:bulletblack: Onsen:
Amaryllis Mountain is famous for their hot Onsen, They can be found all throughout the settlement. Though Amaryllis is covered by a thick layer of snow all year, the natural hot springs never fail to warm you up.
- Legend tells that the Onsen are home to a legendary spirit; Suicune

:bulletblack: Old Temple:
On the highest hill on the North side of the island, the ruins of an old temple can be found.
An unrecognizable ancient script has been carved into the stone above what would have been the entrance. Two gigantic statues, both depicting headless winged women, presumably modeled after Ho-Ho and Lugia, stand guard on either side of the door. In the middle of the ruins stands an intricately decorated altar.
- The old temple is off limits.

:bulletblack: Old Watermill:
What once was simply a rundown watermill is now a thriving inn with a rustic feel.
The Old Watermill Inn is run by the late miller’s daughter and her wife.
Their business is open to all and is often referred to as a place of neutral ground.
Unlike most other inns, you may pay your bill by performing tasks or labor for the couple. In return, they will offer you shelter and food.

:bulletblack: Ruins:
Old, cold and dusty.

:bulletblack: Sleeping Vulcano:
Magnolia Volcano has been asleep for hundreds of years and is unlikely to become active again. Over the decades, the citizens of the Magnolia settlement have built and carved their homes into the side of the mountain.
- Legend tells that the volcano houses a legendary spirit; Entei

:bulletblack: Tri-Pillars:
The Tri Pillars are gigantic natural stone pillars in the middle of the ocean bordering Rugosa Beach.
People claim that looking up at these pillars while drifting past on the water is one of the most captivating sights in the region.
- Old tales tell that the three pillars represent the legendary trio Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos, who watch over the Cove and those who travel through.

🌱 KNOWN DUNGEON LOCATIONS 🌱

:bulletblue: Ashfall Labyrinth:
Old labyrinth ruins that seem to go on forever. When the now slumbering volcano erupted centuries ago, it colored the sand and stone in this area gray and black with ashfall.
Occasionally it stills snows ash. It is said this means the spirit of Entei is watching over the travelers passing through.

:bulletblue: Coral Cove:
Half a day away from the shores of Eithos, surrounded by rough ocean lies a calm body of water known as Coral Cove.
A large cave is hidden in gorgeous coral growth and houses many treasures. This dungeon is popular with treasure hunters and collectors, but its location makes it hard to explore.

:bulletblue: Glacier Fields:
Icy fields of shifting glaciers. Aside from the ever changing surroundings, the temperature is your biggest enemy. The days are cold and the nights are freezing.
This area is no stranger to blizzards. It's rumored that a group of bandits has made this place their home, as only the toughest and roughest will be able to live here.

:bulletblue: Hollow Grove:
A grove that lies within Azalea forest. Though it appears to be the most serene place in Azalea, Hollow Grove houses many small underground dungeons and ruins that are connected by dark tunnels.

:bulletblue: Meadow Hills:
Rolling fields covered in wildflowers. A popular place for travelers of all kinds.

:bulletblue: Petal Beach:
A pearly white beach covered in pink and white rugosa petals east of Rugosa Settlement. At first sight, this place may seem peaceful, but many secrets, hideouts and even caves lie between these dunes.

:bulletblue: Redwood Wilds:
Near Acacia Lake, a part of the forest is overtaken by huge redwood trees. These trees are so enormous that pathways have been carved right through them.
It might be hard to find what you are looking for when visiting this forest, many things are hidden here; treasures, bandits, and if you search hard enough, even houses high up in the trees.
They say that thunder echoes through the canopy when Raikou is charging through these woods, and its spirit creates new pathways for lost travelers.

:bulletblue: Snowfall River:
A wide icy river in a heavily snow covered area. The rough waters keep it from freezing over.
This river was once connected to the ocean, but has been closed off by a dam built by Amaryllis villagers.
The water is home to old shipwrecks frozen in time from when it was still used to sail out to sea.
They say that the water is kept clear and rough by Suicune as its spirit crosses the river.

:bulletblue: Stalagmite Dens:
In the side of MT. Magnolia lay deep caves with elaborate stalagmite structures growing denser the deeper you travel.
It is discouraged to enter the Stalagmite Dens alone as it's easy to get lost or even hurt when stalagmite pillars come down without warning.
Crystals and other minerals and metals have been brought back from these caves, and are a popular reason for travelers and bandits to set out through the Dens, in spite of warnings.

:bulletblue: Temple Ruins:
If you enter the Old Temple at twilight, the last rays of sun beam through the rubble, striking the altar and bathing the walls in light. After this, the entrance to a dungeon beneath the Temple will be revealed.
Not much is known about the dungeon, as very few explorers have returned to speak of them.
- The Temple ruins are off limits.

:bulletblue: Whispering Wasteland:
A barren desert. Its proving to be a tough job to stay alive in this wasteland as the scorching sun and sandstorms show no mercy.
It's rumored that a group of bandits has made this place their home as a way to prove themselves, as only the toughest and roughest will be able to live here.
Many lone travelers will speak of the wind whispering to you as you travel trough the wasteland. Some say this is because they'd gone delirious from dehydration or heat stroke, but there are those that believe spirits of past travelers who were lost to the sands still haunt their desert graveyard.
